Clean with the head and ferrule (tip of the mace) polished. Cords should be clean with no frays. Chains must be polished. Cords and chains should be securely attached. No extreme amount of dents or scratches on a mace head or ferrule. The ferrule should be vertically straight. Malaccan cane maces should be free of extreme bowing or warps.
